Balmoral Castle
Balmoral is the Scottish home of the Royal Family. It was purchased by Queen Victoria in 1848 and its estate covers over 50,000 acres. It is open to the public every day between April and the end of July.

There are many interesting walks in Deeside. The Muir of Dinnet is a nature reserve with a visitors centre and several woodland walks taking you past geological features and ancient relics.

The woodlands, mountains, rivers and lochs of Royal deeside is home to a huge variety of wildlife. Deer, Golden Eagles, Salmon, Grouse and Otters are just a few that can be seen in their natural habitat.
