Bass Rock

Bass Rock lies two miles to the east of North Berwick and dominates the seascape. The colony of of around 100,000 seabirds is the largest on the east coast of Britain. There are several daily boat trips around the rock.


Scottish Seabird Centre

The Scottish seabird centre (Opened by the Prince of Wales in 2000) is an award winning visitor attraction. The Seabird Centre has a network of interactive cameras allowing the visitor to view bird and sealife in their natural habitat.


Golf Courses

The area around North Berwick has a large number of Golf Courses. The North Berwick golf course along with the nearby Muirfield have hosted many champoinship matches.
 

The views out to Bass Rock and the sea beyond are astounding.


Tantallon Castle

Tantallon Castle is a 14th century fortress standing on sea cliffs 3 miles from North Berwick. The castle has been the scene of many battles and seiges. It is open daily from 9.30 until 4.30 winter and 5.30 summer.
